“Habit of Spreading Joy and Happiness!”

“It's our attitude in life that determines life's attitude toward us!”

by Kioshi Steve Levallee

Did you know that Happiness is a choice? Everyday, you and I get to choose to be happy or we can choose to be miserable. We get to choose the way we greet our family, friends and the rest of the world around us.

You can either put a smile on your face and greet people in a happy and friendly manner, or you can frown and act miserable. The attitude we display to the rest of the world often determines what type of attitude comes back at us.

If you treat others in a kind, polite and friendly manner and they are likely to respond back in a similar fashion. Not everyone will appreciate your happiness, but more people will.

"Smile and the world smiles with you, frown and you'll frown alone!-- Anonymous

No matter what language you speak, a smile is universal in the way it can impact and influence those around you. Have you ever watched people's face when a baby cracks a big smile at them? It causes an almost instant smile back and feelings of joy.

There will always be some people that have such a miserable attitude that even you and I won't get them to smile back. Who cares? Never let that influence your attitude.

Keep smiling and move on before you catch their negativity disease.

Happiness is a choice. Champions choose to spread their joy and happiness in a positive and sincere manner. There will be some days that you have to "fake it until you make it."

That's okay...your human.

The more you practice anything, the easier it becomes. It's no different with sharing your happiness. Most people have grown accustomed to sharing the negatives of life. Your goal should be to do exactly the opposite. Always be ready to share the good news.

Whether it's how good you feel, how much you love your work or how much you love your Martial Arts. Think about all the things in life you enjoy the most, put a smile on your face and get in the HABIT OF SPREADING YOUR JOY AND HAPPINESS!

Health & Fitness Tip: Small Improvements=> BIG Results!

Did you know that small improvements in your daily habits & performance can lead to huge improvements in your overall results?

It's true, I've personally experienced it and witnessed it in thousands of students training to become A-rated Black Belt Champions.

Example: If you simply eliminated fried foods from your diet and focused on baked or grilled foods instead. That small change can lead to huge results regarding your health, body weight and overall energy level.

If you replaced soda or sugar filled drinks with water at each meal, you'll improve your hydration and rid your body of damaging chemicals.

Let's say you arrived 10 minutes earlier prior to each class, you'd be less rushed, more focused and better warmed up before each class.

These are just a couple examples of how small improvements can lead to huge results over the long haul.

Success on and off the mats is the result of a few simple disciplines practiced daily.

Unfortunately, failure is also the results of a few simple bad habits repeated daily. Such as watching too much television or not eating a healthy breakfast, or arriving late for class or a meeting.

It's been said that the little things don't mean a lot, they mean everything.

Everything counts...good or bad, positive or negative.

Hopefully, you are developing the Habits of Excellence on and off the mats.

Train Hard...enjoy the Rewards!

Word Of The Month

Joyfulness

Joy is a very glad feeling of happiness and delight. We get joy from helping those around us and from helping ourselves by practicing self discipline. Joy is one of the many benefits of the physical and mental exercises we learn as a part of our martial arts training. There is an old saying, “A Healthy body, A Healthy mind”, applies to the concept of joy. Joy is not a selfish concept, but spreads to those around us so that others also feel this kind of happiness.
